Lutke von Dassel

Lutke von Dassel (* 1474 ; † 1537 ) was a Sülfmeister and patrician in Lüneburg.

origin

Lutke von Dassel belonged to the Lüneburg patrician family von Dassel , which had a stem with three leaves in the coat of arms. Gender can be referred to as one of the lines that can be summarized as the lords of Dassel . The sex can be traced back to the middle of the 19th century in Lüneburg and provided five mayors in this city.

Life

In 1502 he became a Sülfmeister, which means he was authorized to boil at the Lüneburg salt works. In the same complex he became bar master in 1509. After he had been councilor of the city of Lüneburg since 1510 , he became its mayor in 1514.

He was married to Geske Stöterogge since 1506. After her death, he married Ilsabe von Sanckenstede in 1527.

Act

In 1517 he acquired a large four-story patrician house on a large corner plot, which he had expanded. He made various foundations. The following have been preserved to this day: coats of arms in the Diesdorf and Neuendorf monasteries and window panes with stained glass in the Lüne monastery.

In the northwestern vestibule of the Lüneburg Johanniskirche there is a sandstone monument to Lutke's wall, which was also called Ludolf von Dassel.
