Attelsdorf is a district of the town of Schlüsselfeld in the Bamberg district in Upper Franconia .

location

Attelsdorf is located on the left bank of the Reichen Ebrach at junction 77 of the A3 and at the junction of State Road 2261 from State Road 2260 . Due to the good transport connections, the small village has its own industrial area, in which there is a drinks and supermarket, a gas station and a fast-food restaurant. Two hotels in the village offer overnight accommodation. The Strullendorf – Schlüsselfeld railway line passes to the north. Neighboring towns are Thüngfeld in the north, Possenfelden and Elsendorf (all town of Schlüsselfeld) in the east, Gleißenberg in the south, Niederndorf , Burghaslach and Fürstenforst in the south-west (all of Markt Burghaslach, Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district , Middle Franconia ) and in the north-west Schlüsselfeld.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1342 as "Otlasdorf". The defining word of the place name is Odelin, the personal name of the founder. In the first half of the 14th century, Konrad II von Schlüsselberg sold a farm in Attelsdorf to the Bamberg Monastery . Bishop Lupold transferred this to the Schlüsselau monastery . The Bamberg Kapitular Berthold von Henneberg bought a farm whose duties for a Seelgerät were intended his deceased cousin Ludwig von Henneberg. This court was given to the Bamberg Cathedral Chapter by Bishop Lamprecht in 1377 . The Würzburg Centamt Schlüsselfeld exercised the high court . At the same time it had landlord claims in the place , as can be seen from a document from 1592. In 1799 there were 26 subject families in the village.

As part of the parish edict, Attelsdorf was assigned to the Thüngfeld tax district formed in 1811 . In the same year the rural community Thüngfeld was formed, to which the place belonged.

On May 1, 1978 Attelsdorf was incorporated into the town of Schlüsselfeld as part of the regional reform .
