Rambach is a district of the town of Schlüsselfeld in the Bamberg district in Upper Franconia .

geography

The church village is north of the rich Ebrach . It forms a closed settlement with the key field to the east and is otherwise surrounded by arable land and grassland. In the west the corridor is called Schwemm , in the northwest there are the Wernerleite and the Katzenbuck .

history

The place was first mentioned in the Würzburg Lehenbuch from 1303. Albert Irrer owned three hooves and the tithe in the village . One hoof and part of the tithe belonged to the brothers Luzo, Heinrich and Werner de Ronebach (= Rambach), as can be seen from the fief book of 1310. Furthermore, Eberhard and Hermann von Thüngfeld had tenth shares in two mills. In the period that followed, von Thüngfeld acquired further claims in the area. In the 16th century these fiefs fell back to the Würzburg monastery. In addition to Würzburg, the Counts of Castell were feudal lords. In 1802 there were 26 subject families in the village.

As part of the community edict, Rambach was assigned to the Heuchelheim tax district formed in 1810 . In the same year the rural community Heuchelheim was formed, to which the place belonged.

On July 1, 1972, Rambach was incorporated into the city of Schlüsselfeld as part of the regional reform .
