The Lutowsee is located southeast of Neustrelitz in the upper reaches of the raft ditch . It belongs to the Feldberger Seenlandschaft nature park in the Mecklenburg Lake District in southeast Mecklenburg in the municipality of Wokuhl-Dabelow between the settlements of Herzwolde in the north and Grammertin in the southeast. It is a long, poorly indented channel lake , the west bank of which is wooded and the east bank of which is used for agriculture. It is almost two kilometers long and approximately 300 meters wide.
