Lutu Ira ( Lutu: German for  a grain mortar made from a tree trunk ) is a spring in the East Timorese Suco Parlamento ( Lautém municipality ). It is located in the town of Ira'ara . The water comes out of a rock from several places and collects in a basin. It is used as drinking water, for washing and watering fields and gardens. Guppies ( Poecilia reticulata ) and African predatory catfish ( Clarias gariepinus ) live in the basin .
