Lutz Feld (born July 25, 1967 in Eitorf ) is a German physicist.

He studied physics and mathematics at the University of Bonn from 1988 to 1993 and received a diploma in physics in 1993 . He wrote his diploma thesis at the German Electron Synchrotron (DESY). From 1993 to 1996 he continued his work at DESY and wrote a dissertation on the subject of jets in hard photo production at the ZEUS universal detector. In 1996 he received his doctorate from the University of Bonn. From 1997 to 1999 Feld was a fellow at the European Center for Particle Physics CERN in Geneva, from 1999 to 2003 scientific assistant at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau , where he completed his habilitation in 2002 . From 2003 to 2004 he was a private lecturer at the University of Freiburg and in 2004 took over a professorship for high energy physics at the I. Physics Institute B of the Rheinisch Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen .
