Lutz Jenke

Lutz Jenke (born May 25, 1967 in Großenhain ) is a former German badminton player .

Career

Lutz Jenke began his career at Turbine Großenhain in what was then Dresden. For this Saxon club he also won his first medal in the GDR championships in the junior division in 1981. Four more medals followed in the junior age classes. With the change to the GDR-Oberliga to HSG Lok HfV Dresden , the way to success with the adults paved. In the last two years of the GDR's existence, he won the silver medal at the GDR team championships . After the dissolution of the Dresden team, he moved back to his hometown to join the club there. From 1998 to 2002 he played again in a higher class at the neighboring club BV Tröbitz from Brandenburg , only to be active again in Großenhain. In the 2008/2009 game series, he qualified with the first team of SG Gittersee for the following season in the Regionalliga Südost.

Lutz Jenke now works for Wacker Chemie AG and runs a racket service for badminton, tennis and squash.
