Lutz Kühn

Lutz Kühn (born July 28, 1951 in Naumburg (Saale) ) is a German politician and was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt from the 1st electoral term in 1990 until the state election in 2006 .

Life and work

After graduating from high school and after completing an apprenticeship as a lathe operator, Lutz Kühn began studying technology in the metalworking industry at the TH Chemnitz . After graduating, he worked as a designer in machine tool construction, in industrial research in the tribology science field and as a project preparation engineer for automation technology, as well as self-employed in the metalworking industry.

Kühn is married and has one child.

Political party

Kühn is a founding member of the Social Democratic Party in the GDR (SDP), which united with the SPD in 1990 . At the end of November 2014 he ended his membership in protest about Die Linke's participation in an SPD-led government in Thuringia. He justified this step with the fact that he did not want to help the political heirs of the SED to power.

Lutz Kühn represented the constituency of Nebra in the state parliament . He was last elected via the state list and did not run again in 2006. Kühn was chairman of the committee for culture and media.
