Lutz Kowalewski

Lutz "Kowa" Kowalewski (* 1960 ) is a German blues guitarist from the East German blues scene . He plays acoustic guitar , dobro , bass drum and kazoo . Kowalewski has performed with international blues musicians such as Louisiana Red , Carey Bell , Memo Gonzales and Phillippe Menard.

Musical development

In 1985, Kowalewski and Ralf Bomberg founded the Feedback Blues Band in Kahla , which plays blues classics in new arrangements and their own songs with German lyrics. After the fall of the Wall, the band released their first CDs and took part in international blues festivals.

The current line-up of the band includes Lutz Kowalewski (guitar, vocals), Harald du Bellier (bass guitar) and Mark Rose (drums).

Kowalewski is also active as a soloist , performing with the Thuringian boogie pianist Alexander Blume , and working with Bernd Kleinow as the Duo Unlimited Blues and with Thomas Stelzer's Bloody Rhythm Fingers .
