Lutz Unterseher

Lutz Unterseher (* 1942 in Greifswald ) is a German sociologist , military expert, security policy advisor and writer .

Life

From 1962 to 1968 he studied sociology and law at the University of Frankfurt . During this time he was a member of the Social Democratic University Association (SHB) and 1963/64 chairman of the Frankfurt group. In 1964 he was elected regional chairman of the SHB in Hesse and held this office for one year. In 1968/69 Unterseher was co-editor of the student newspaper DISKUS . During his studies he specialized in the fields of legal and military sociology . The diploma thesis dealt with the legal dogma history of the employment contract with socio-political references. From 1968 to 1971 Unterseher was a research assistant at the Institute for Social Research , where he was in charge of a project that examined the function of trade unions in late capitalism. During this time, Unterseher began his dissertation , which was supported from 1971 with a performance grant from the Hessian state government. In 1975 he completed his doctorate with a study on the social function of collective labor law .
