The Lycée des Arts et Métiers (short: LAM , or also called craft school) is a school founded in 1896 in Limpertsberg (district of Luxembourg ).
It was founded by law on March 14, 1896 on the initiative of Paul Eyschen . In 1909 the construction of the school building began according to plans by the painter and architect Sosthène Weis , which was opened in 1911. The aim was to impart general knowledge to the future craftsmen in addition to their professional training.
The Lycée des Arts et Métiers is the oldest technical high school in Luxembourg.
Founded as a craftsman school or Lycée Technique des Arts et Métiers , it has been called Lycée des Arts et Métiers since 2015 .
