Lycophron (son of the mastor)
Lycophron ( ancient Greek Λυκόφρων ) is the son of mastor in Greek mythology . Because of a murder he had to leave his homeland Kythera and joined the Telamonier Aias on the train to Troy .
When the Trojan hero Hector , painfully affected by the loss of his cousin Kaletor in the battle for the Greek ships, tried to take revenge with a spear throw against Aias, he only fatally hit his follower Lycophron in the head. Aias now urged his brother, the outstanding archer Teukros , to stand by him and, in turn, to take revenge for the loss of his friend and housemate.
