Tom-Christer Nilsen (born August 28, 1969 ) is a Norwegian politician of the conservative Høyre party . From December 2015 to September 2017 he was State Secretary and has been a member of the Storting since 2017 .

Life

Tom-Christer Nilsen is the son of the Høyre politician Oddvar Nilsen . He studied economics and administrative law. From 1994 to 1999 he worked for Askøy Municipality and then for Avinor until 2003 . In 1995 he first moved into the Fylkesting of what was then the province of Hordaland . Between 2003 and 2011 he was the provincial deputy Fylkesordfører , then he was the Fylkesordfører until 2015.

In the 2009 parliamentary elections , Nilsen missed entry into the Norwegian national parliament in Storting . On December 16, 2015 he was appointed State Secretary in the State Chancellery, the Statsministerenskontor , as part of the Solberg government . On May 11, 2016, he moved to the Norwegian Ministry of Transport as State Secretary . He held this office until September 30, 2017.

Nilsen finally moved into Storting for the first time in the 2017 election . There he represents the constituency of Hordaland and he became a member of the economic committee.
