Lympne is a small town and civil parish in Kent in the Romney Marsh west of Hythe . The Romans built the Portus Lemanis fort on the heights , which the Saxons built over with Stutfall Castle . Lympne Castle is one of the other architectural monuments . The disused airfield RAF Lympne (opened in 1916) is also located in the municipality .
