Lynn Silliman

Lynn Silliman (born April 24, 1959 in Watsonville ) is a former helmswoman in rowing from the United States. She was second in the 1975 World Cup and third in 1976.

The 1.56 m tall Lynn Silliman from Point Loma High School in San Diego drove the US eighth at the 1975 World Championships in Nottingham . Christine Ernst , Carol Brown , Nancy Storrs , Wiki Royden , Claudia Schneider , Anne Warner , Gail Pierson , Carie Graves and Lynn Silliman won the silver medal behind the boat from the GDR and ahead of the Romanians. The following year, the US eight started at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal in the line-up of Jacqueline Zoch ,Anita DeFrantz , Carie Graves, Marion Greig , Anne Warner, Margaret McCarthy , Carol Brown, Gail Ricketson and Lynn Silliman. The eighth from the GDR won ahead of the boat from the USSR. Behind them, the eighth from the United States won the bronze medal just ahead of the Canadians. At the 1979 World Championships , Silliman once again competed in a foursome with a helmsman and finished ninth.
