Lysiades (potter)
Lysiades was a Greek potter who worked between the last quarter of the 6th century BC. And the second half of the 5th century BC In Athens .
Lysiades is known only by the signature Λυσιάδης μ`έποί (ε) σεν εὖ on a schwarzgefirnissten Kothon in Lyon , which hold some researchers for a lamp with wide flaring frame foot. In German literature, the vessel is often simply referred to as a “can”. Another kothon in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (inventory number 99.530) may have been made by the same potter .
