MÁV series BCamot

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the Hungarian railcar series MÁV series BCamot some first generation railcars were added to the Magyar Államvasutak (MÁV), which were either manufactured by German companies or at Ganz & Co. and had the status of test railcars. The last of the vehicles was retired in 1973.

BCamot 310

In 1925, MÁV acquired a four-axle railcar with a benzene-mechanical power transmission from the German works in Kiel , which was named BCamot 310 .

The railcar had 24 seats in 2nd class and 58 seats in 3rd class. It had the following technical data: wheel diameter 850 mm, pivot spacing 11,500 mm, wheel base in the bogies 2,500 mm, total wheel base 14,000 mm, length over buffers 18,400 mm, service weight 38 t, axle pressure 8.5 t. It was used on branch lines because of its low axle pressure . The railcar was rebuilt in 1932 and 1947, these modifications affecting the car body and the machinery. Most recently it is said to have been called Camot 317 . It is said to have existed until 1973.

BCamot 304

In 1926, MÁV acquired a four-axle railcar with diesel-mechanical power transmission from the Wismar wagon factory ; it was named BCamot 304 .

The railcar corresponded to DR 851 to 852 . He specified the following technical data: 24 seats in 2nd class and 56 seats in 3rd class, wheel diameter 1,000 mm, pivot spacing 13,500 mm, axle spacing of the motor bogie 3,500 mm, axle base of the bogie 2,500 mm, overall axle base 16,900 mm, length over buffers 21,040 mm, service weight 40 t, maximum axle load 11.5 t. Because of this higher axle pressure, it was only allowed to run on main lines. The railcar was rebuilt in 1932. The maximum speed of the vehicle was increased to 80 km / h and the railcar was given the name BCamot 330 in this context . The year 1951 is considered to be the decommissioning date of the railcar.

BCamot 311-313

Also in 1926, three four-axle railcars were built in various works in Budapest by converting decommissioned steam railcars, which were built according to the DWK railcar scheme , but with two drive motors and were given the designation BCamot 311-313 . The difference to the railcars from DWK was that they were equipped with NAG engines and NAG railcar transmissions. The technical data of the vehicle were: in 2nd class 24 and in 3rd class 49 seats. A machine chamber was placed in the middle of the car, in which two motors, each with 75 HP, were installed, which powered the inner axles of the bogies via cardan shafts. The wheel diameter was 1,020 mm, the pivot spacing 12,800 mm, the axle base of the bogies 2,200 mm, the total axle base 15,000 mm, the length over the buffers 19,870 mm and the operating weight 37.8 t. These railcars were rebuilt several times during their service. Retirement dates are not available.
