history

Mártir was founded in 2008 by Claudio Muñoz ( vocals and drums ), Pablo Placencia ( electric bass ) and Sergio Fuentes ( electric guitar ). In December 2008 they released a demo called El Santo Grial Del Vegan Straight Edge with two titles.

In June 2009 the group released their debut EP, Balance Natural , which was produced and published by the No Compromise Records label . There are four tracks on this EP. On this album, Sergio Inostroza replaced the original guitarist Fuentes. In June 2010 a split CD was released with the hardcore band Abolición from Talca . This time production and release were done by Reusa Records .

Then Mártir were under contract with the Argentine independent label Vegan Records . The album Memorial was released on this label in May 2011 in collaboration with the Heretic Records label on CD and download.

In 2013 the band broke up. Muñoz has been playing drums with Un Nuevo Comienzo since then, and Muñoz, Inostroza, Bórquez and Cisterna also formed a band called Quiebre at the end of 2013. In 2014 there was a reunion concert by Mártir, since then the band has performed irregularly.
