Angelo Massafra OFM (born March 23, 1949 in San Marzano di San Giuseppe ) is an Italian clergyman and archbishop of Shkodra-Pult .

Life

Angelo Massafra who entered religious community of Franciscans at, and the Bishop of Lecce , Francesco Minerva , ordained him on 21 September 1974 priests .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Rrëshen on December 7, 1996 . The Pope personally donated his episcopal ordination on January 6 of the next year; Co-consecrators were Giovanni Battista Re , substitute for the State Secretariat , and Miroslav Stefan Marusyn , Secretary of the Congregation for the Eastern Churches .

On March 28, 1998, he became Archbishop of Shkodra-Pult .

After the death of Rrok Mirdita in December 2015, he became head of the Albanian Bishops' Conference .
