Cristoforo Palmieri
Cristoforo Palmieri (born May 24, 1939 in Bitonto , Italy ) is a Catholic bishop of the Albanian diocese of Rrëshen . He belongs to the order of the Lazarists .
Live and act
For on March 18, 1967 priests ordained , had Cristoforo Palmieri as a priest in Naples, Nicastro (Calabria) and Lecce. After a stay in the USA in 1993 he was entrusted with the management of the Lazarist mission in Albania.
From 1996 to 1998 Palmieri was vicar general of the diocese of Rrëshen. From February 5, 2000 he was the Apostolic Administrator and on November 23, 2005 he was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI. appointed second bishop of Rrëshen. He was ordained bishop on December 28, 2005 by the Archbishop of Tirana-Durrës , Rrok Kola Mirdita . Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Albania, Archbishop John Bulaitis , and his predecessor Angelo Massafra OFM , Archbishop Shkodra .
