Men's party

The Men's Party (M) is a small party in Austria that advocates “equal opportunities and equal treatment” for men before the law.

The men's party was founded in 2008 by Oliver Peter Hoffmann and has been publicly active since 2009. The first focus of the political work was on “equal rights for fathers”. The men's party held panel discussions, demonstrations and media work on this topic.

In the Vienna elections in 2010, the party ran as part of the direct democracy platform, an electoral alliance made up of five groups.

The men's party in the state of Vorarlberg ran for the National Council election in Austria in 2013 . It received 488 votes, which corresponds to 0.28% of the valid votes in Vorarlberg and 0.01% in Austria.

Appearing for the first time in the Vorarlberg state elections in 2014 , Party M achieved 0.39% of the vote and no mandate.

In the municipal council election in Vienna in 2015 , the party ran in the Donaustadt district and achieved 0.17% there (total: 0.02%).

In the parliamentary elections in 2017 the party is in Vorarlberg begun, but missed with 221 votes a place in the National Council.
