Male pastoral care

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pastoral care for men is a target group-specific offer of pastoral care . Men should be specifically accompanied in questions of life and faith. This happens both in a personal conversation and through group offers (men's snacks, men's day, men's fire, etc.) and specific publications. Prayer, words from the Bible , blessing gestures (e.g. the laying on of hands) and reflective conversations are used in personal conversations . Through a holistic objective, social support and specific offers of help can also play a role.

The member churches of the Evangelical Church in Germany have specially appointed “male pastors” and the Catholic Church maintains specialist offices for male pastoral care .
