Märkische feuds

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The permanent neighborhood wars between vassals of the Mecklenburg dukes and those of the Margraves of Brandenburg from 1379 to 1480 are called Märkische Feuds . During this period, feuds and robber barons were favored by the anarchist conditions that had ruled Mecklenburg since the death of Albrecht II (1379) and only ended after the death of Henry IV when an alliance was formed between the Brandenburg margrave Johann Cicero and the dukes of Mecklenburg Albrecht VI. , Magnus II and Balthasar on June 7, 1480.
