Michael Ostheimer ( December 4, 1875 - August 16, 1955 ) was a German Roman Catholic clergyman.

Career

Ostheimer was ordained a priest in 1898. From 1921 to 1952 he worked as a pastor in Starnberg . At the beginning of the 1930s he had the parish church , which is now a listed building, rebuilt. During the time of National Socialism, the responsible district court determined against him because he had greeted with a raised hand and "praised be Jesus Christ". Towards the end of the Second World War he stood up for concentration camp prisoners at risk of death and provided them with food.

He was the head of the Caritas Association for the Starnberg district and spiritual adviser to the Catholic Women's Association and the Association for Outpatient Nursing.
