The city of Starnberg has granted the following people honorary citizenship since 1914 .

  1. Rudolf Magg (February 2, 1845 - October 8, 1921)
    Royal Councilor and General Practitioner
    Awarded on February 3, 1914
    On the occasion of his 40-year service anniversary, Magg was honored for his work as a doctor and surgeon in the Starnberg District Hospital and especially in recognition of the many years of free medical treatment of the hospital inmates.
  2. Carl Zitzmann (born October 23, 1871 in Nuremberg ; † December 7, 1956 in Starnberg)

    The appointment was made in recognition of his many years of extremely charitable work in Starnberg.
  3. Adolf Friedrich Bayerlein (October 27, 1879 - January 6, 1946)
    Commerce Councilor and Romanian Consul General
    Awarded on June 7, 1938
    Bayerlein donated his villa on Bahnhofstrasse to the city so that a high school could be built in it. In recognition of his great services to Starnberg, he was awarded honorary citizenship.
  4. Michael Ostheimer (December 4, 1875 - August 16, 1955)

    Awarded on July 12, 1948
    Ostheimer worked as a city pastor from 1921 to 1952. On the occasion of his 50th anniversary as a priest, he was granted honorary citizenship in grateful recognition of his services to the church, school and city.
  5. Hermann Uhde-Bernays (born October 31, 1873 in Weimar ; † June 7, 1965 in Starnberg)
