Yvon Bourges
Yvon Bourges (born June 29, 1921 in Pau , † April 18, 2009 in Paris ) was a French politician.
He was governor of Upper Volta from 1956 to 1958 , then the last high commissioner for French Equatorial Africa until 1960 . From 1962 to 1967 and 1971 to 1989 he was mayor of the city of Dinard in Brittany , and from 1986 to 1998 President of the Regional Parliament of Brittany .
He belonged to various Gaullist parties, most recently the Rassemblement pour la République founded in 1976 . From 1962 to 1978 he was a member of parliament, then a member of the Senate until 1998 .
From 1972 to 1973 he was France's Minister of Commerce and from 1975 to 1980 he was Minister of Defense .
