Möhlin jet
In Switzerland, the Möhlin-Jet is a south- easterly wind coming from the Fricktal , which ensures that no closed blanket of fog forms in winter at the northern Jura in the Basel area. This is in contrast to the Central Plateau , where the fog sometimes does not dissipate for weeks. Even when the wind from the Möhlin jet is low, the fog is broken up with the help of southwest winds from Burgundy . This weather phenomenon is named after the town of Möhlin in the canton of Aargau .
