Müşfik Kenter

Müşfik Kenter (born September 8, 1932 in Istanbul ; † August 15, 2012 there ) was a Turkish actor who won the Golden Orange for Best Supporting Actor at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in 1966 .

Life

Kenter made his acting debut in 1960 in Disi kurt with director Ömer Lütfi Akad on the side of Ulvi Uraz and Sezer Sezin . In the next almost fifty years he played roles in thirty films and television series and received the Golden Orange for Best Supporting Actor at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in 1966 for his performance in Bozuk düzen (1966) from director Haldun Dormen with Belgin Doruk and Ekrem Bora . Most recently he played the role of "Tevfik" in the television series Avrupa Yakası in 2009 .

He was also a well-known theater actor in Turkey and played numerous stage roles in Kenter Tiyatrosu , which he owned. His special trademark was his distinctive voice, which can be heard on a sound recording of poems by Orhan Veli Kanık .

Kenter, a younger brother of the well-known actress Yıldız Kenter (* 1928), was temporarily married to the actress Gülsün Kamu and died of complications from pneumonia .
