Mosquito Lake
The midge is a quarry pond in the northeastern municipality of Karlsfeld . It lies at 480 meters above sea level, is around 280 meters long and up to 155 meters wide, with an area of 3.4 hectares .
It is located north of the Schwarzhölzl nature reserve in the Amperauen nature reserve with Hebertshauser Moos and Inhauser Moos . The lake is part of the Munich green belt .
