The Mügelsbergschule is a vocational school on the Mügelsberg in Saarbrücken - St. Johann . It houses the technical and commercial vocational training center (TGBBZ I & II) and is therefore the largest vocational training center in the Saarbrücken regional association . The ensemble with six buildings is a listed building .

The Mügelsberg School was built between 1952 and 1962 according to plans by the City Planning Director Peter Paul Seeberger as the largest new school building in the city at the time. The 4–5-storey buildings stand out with their large glass facades , typical of the period , and some are connected to one another with walkways.

In the form of terraces and stairs, the system compensates for a height difference of 12.5 meters in the building site.

Trivia

The radio station on the roof was the location of various Saarland crime scene episodes from 2013-2018 as the apartment of Inspector Stellbrink , played by Devid Striesow .
