The Beckmann mill is a former flour mill in the Wesel district of Obrighoven . The building is a historical monument.

The Beckmann mill is located in a residential area in Wesel-Obrighoven. It is located around 100 meters north of Bundesstrasse 58 (Schermbecker Landstrasse) and near the Evangelical Hospital in Wesel .

History and use

The mill was built around 1860 as a flour mill in the then still independent and rural community of Obrighoven on the eastern outskirts of Wesel. It received the status of a monument, but fell into disrepair. In 2000, plans began to re-use the ruins of the former mill. After extensive renovation work, the mill was converted into a residential building in 2006.
