Münchentorturm
The Münchentorturm is a listed gate tower of the historic fortifications of the city of Loburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located at the southwestern entrance to the old town of Loburg on the west side of the street Münchentor . Immediately to the northwest is the Barbysche Gutshaus .
Architecture and history
The gate, also called Mönchstor , was one of three gates of the Loburg city fortifications. At the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th century, all of the city wall gates were demolished, only the Munich gate tower remained. Its origin goes back to the 13th century. The tower was renovated in 2016, with remains of medieval plaster being integrated under ivy.
In the local register of monuments , the gate tower is listed as a monument under registration number 107 05042 .
