Münchner Kindl Bräu

The Münchner Kindl Bräu is a former brewery in Munich . The brewery was located in Munich's Kindl cellar on Rosenheimer Strasse in the Haidhausen district (today Motorama) opposite the Bürgerbräukeller .

history

The brewery was founded in 1880 and taken over by Unionsbräu in 1905 . The Union brewery was again merged into the Löwenbräu in 1921 . The cellar, damaged in World War II , housed Munich's largest hall and was demolished in the late 1960s.

The name rights belong to the entrepreneur Dietrich Sailer. In the Tegernseer Landstrasse 337 in Munich, he acquired a piece of land in the American settlement that was built on with a gas station. There he plans to rebuild the Münchner Kindl brewery. The brick building is to be in the form of a three-aisled basilica with an upper aisle. The building plan includes an inn with 199 seats. Beer production is scheduled to start again from 2023.
