The Münchner Madrigalchor is a mixed choir founded in 1966 by the voice physiologist Franz Brandl at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Munich . The choir performed under the name European Ensemble before 1974 , since then as the Munich Madrigal Choir and is a registered association.

Awards

In 1979 the choir was awarded the Orlando di Lasso Medal. In 1994 the choir received two silver medals at the international choir competition in Riva del Garda .
