Munich city gazette
A newspaper under the name Münchener Stadtanzeiger first appeared in 1907 as a continuation of the Munich Ratsch-Kathl , last in 1921 under the title Bayern-Warte and Münchener Stadtanzeiger - non-party weekly paper for the protection of Bavaria . The later Münchner Stadtanzeiger was a local newspaper in Munich that had been published by Süddeutscher Verlag from 1945 to 1997 and was published by Süddeutscher Verlag since 1950 , and called itself the home newspaper for the city and the district of Munich . The founder was the journalist Josef Ackermann (1896–1959), who, after repeated imprisonment in the concentration camps from 1933 to 1945, became director of the municipal intelligence service in 1945 and later belonged to the Bavarian Senate . From 1959 to 1989 the journalist Erich Hartstein (July 9, 1924 - June 26, 2016) was the editor-in-chief of the Stadtanzeiger, which is now published twice a week as a supplement to the Süddeutsche Zeitung and in half the format of this newspaper and, most recently, weekly in the format of the newspaper. When the local section of the Süddeutsche Zeitung was expanded, the Münchner Stadtanzeiger was discontinued in 1997.
