Friedrich Daniel Sanio

Friedrich Daniel Sanio (born April 10, 1800 in Königsberg i. Pr. , † February 25, 1882 in Halle (Saale) ) was a German legal scholar at the Albertus University of Königsberg .

Life

Sanio studied law in Königsberg and received his doctorate from the law faculty in 1827 . In 1828 he qualified as a lecturer in criminal law , commercial law and bill of exchange law . In 1831 Sanio was first appointed associate professor , and in March 1832 full professor at the University of Königsberg. After he retired in 1874 , he moved to Halle in 1875, where he died seven years later. He later represented Roman law , namely legal history, in Heinrich Eduard Dirksen's position .

Between 1835 and 1864, Sanio was rector of the Albertina several times , including during the German Revolution of 1848/49 .
