The Mürtzsee is located south of Blumenholz in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the east of the Mecklenburg Lake District . It is the uppermost part of a three-part chain of lakes with the Mittelsee and the Lange See, only 160 m away . It is 70.7 m above sea level. NHN , has a maximum extension of 500 meters by 820 meters and measures 25.2 hectares. The banks are completely surrounded by a row of bushes, at the northeast end there is a small forest. On the south bank is the place Blumenhagen, through which the Mecklenburg Lake Cycle Path and the Ice Age Route Mecklenburg Lake District run.
