The M6 line of the Istanbul Metro is an underground line on the European side of the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul . It is also called the mini-metro and connects the Levent station of the M2 with the Boğaziçi-Üniversitesi station. The line went into operation on April 19, 2015. The M6 can transport 10,000 passengers per hour. A lack of means of transport in the area combined with a high volume of traffic made the construction of the line necessary.
