Außerweg even Except Navis is a place in Wipptal in North Tyrol , and locality of the municipality of Navis in District Innsbruck-Land , Tyrol .

geography

Ausserweg is located in the Wipptal at the entrance to the Navistal via Statz near Matrei am Brenner , left in the Wipptal, right in the Navistal, on the valley shoulder of the Sonnseitenberg of the Mislkopf  ( 2623  m above sea level ) of the Tux Alps . Partull , the houses Moser-Beileler-Glasn-Reimer and Bacher / Surmer against Oberweg belong to the village .

The local area, commonly called Ausernavis , includes the entire outer Navistal, as well as the municipal areas in the Wipptal, which extend to the banks of the Sill between the Matrei station and the mouth of the Navisbach .
That includes almost 250 buildings with around 850 inhabitants. This also includes the Rotte Mühlen at the bottom of the Wipptal valley, the commercial and residential area on the Sill south of Matrei, and the Rotten St. Kathrein and Hölltal Navistaleinwärts below Ausserweg.
In addition, the Almen Mislalm below the Mislkopf, the Pastenalm, Schafalm, Schafalm-Hochleger am Bentlstein  ( 2436  m above sea level ) on the other side of the valley, as well as Urbesalm and Vöstenalm , which are already behind Navis in Weitichbachtal , belong to the village.

Place name

The place name is literal: A road runs from Matrei into Navisertal, today's Naviser Landesstraße L 228, as a high-altitude path that bypasses the Hölltal , the outer valley floor. It separates at Bacher (Wegscheid) , leads to the bottom of the valley at Navis , rises again towards the Hintertal at Häuserer , and then returns as a high-altitude trail to Bacher. The localities on the three sections are called Ausserweg, Unterweg and Oberweg .

Today, in the more general sense, it is more commonly referred to locally as “ Ausernavis” , as the parts of the Wipptal community are becoming increasingly important.

Infrastructure and sights

Out of way has a volunteer fire brigade. The elementary school is in St. Kathrein .

In Ausserweg there is the Kraler , a Tyrolean farm under monument protection , as well as the Friesner Chapel ( Moostaler Chapel , monument protection )
