MBK Industrie (abbreviated form of the company and brand: MBK ) is a French manufacturer of scooters , electric mopeds and bicycles . MBK Industrie is a subsidiary of the motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha .
history
The former motorcycle manufacturer Motobécane was bought by Yamaha after its bankruptcy in 1984 and has operated under the MBK brand ever since.
Models
MBK offers scooters up to 400 cm³ as well as electric mopeds and bicycles . The models from MBK and Yamaha have mostly the same technical basis, some models are even identical. For example, the 50 cc MBK Nitro scooter corresponds to the Yamaha Aerox or the MBK Ovetto to the Yamaha Neos . MBK also produces the Yamaha YZF-R125 light motorcycle , which is sold exclusively under the Yamaha brand. The Yamaha XSR 700 has been produced by MBK since 2016 .

MBK sells its products mainly in France and Belgium, until 2006 MBK vehicles in Germany were sold through the Yamaha dealer network.
