MC-Carnaghi Villa Cortese is an Italian women's volleyball club from Villa Cortese ( metropolitan city of Milan in Lombardy ), which played in the Italian Serie A1 until 2013.
history
The club was founded in 1978 as Gruppo Sportivo Oratorio Villa Cortese and has played since 2009 under the sponsor name MC-Carnaghi Villa Cortese in the top Italian division "Serie A1". Since then, the women have always played in the top group and won the Italian Cup in 2010 and 2011. MC-Carnaghi Villa Cortese was also successful in Europe. They have played in the Champions League since the 2010/11 season, in which they reached the Final Four in 2012 .
