Alice Blom (born April 7, 1980 in Oudeschild , Netherlands ) is a Dutch volleyball player .

Career

Alice Blom started with volleyball in her homeland at Tevoko Texel . In 1996 she came to the Dutch first division club Olympus Sneek . In 2000 she moved to league competitor VV Pollux Oldenzaal , with whom she was three times Dutch champion and won the cup twice in the following years. In 2003 Alice Blom went to the German Bundesliga for champions SSV Ulm Aliud Pharma . After his withdrawal she moved to league competitor USC Münster , with whom she became German champion in 2005 and won the DVV Cup . In 2005/06 she played in Italy with Yamamay Busto Arsizio . She then returned to her home country for two years, where she became champions and cup winners with Martinus Amstelveen in 2007 and 2008. Then Alice Blom moved back to Italy, this time to MC-Carnaghi Villa Cortese . In 2009 she went to Turkey to Fenerbahçe Istanbul , with whom she became Turkish champion and cup winner and was also in the final of the Champions League . From 2010 to 2012 she played in Azerbaijan for Igtisadchi Baku . After her father fell ill, she returned to the Netherlands. Hip problems initially prevented a comeback in professional sport. In January 2016 she received a contract with Schweriner SC . For the 2016/17 season Blom moved to Istanbul to Yeşilyurt Spor Kulübü.

Alice Blom played 315 times for the Dutch senior team . She took part in four European championships and three world championships . Blom won the 2007 Grand Prix with the Netherlands . At the EM 2009 she was in the final.
