MC Serch

MC Serch (born May 6, 1967 ; real name Michael Berrin ) is an American rapper and music producer with Jewish roots.

Career

Serch became internationally known through his participation in the hip-hop group 3rd Bass . After three relatively successful albums, he started his solo career in 1992 with his album Return of the Product . One of the tracks, Here It Comes , reached # 1 on Billboard Hot Rap Tracks . Shortly thereafter, he was involved as a producer on Nas' album Illmatic . He also worked on his second album It Was Written .

Serch helped the rapper OC to start his career with a multi-million dollar contract with Wild Pitch Records . Serch noticed him when he heard OC's feature on the song Fudge Pudge by Organized Konfusion.

Since the end of his career as a musician, Serch has only worked in the producing area and is considered very successful there. He also owns his own promotion agency, Serchlight Promotions . He also played a member of the fictional band Mau Maus in the film It's Showtime (Bamboozled) by director Spike Lee .

2006 was Serch host of the show VH1 Ego Trip's The (White) Rapper Show , in ten white rapper to 100,000 US dollars to fight. He was also the presenter of the second season "VH1 Ego Trips: Miss Rap Supreme", but there 10 female rappers are fighting for 100,000 US dollars.
