The MHK Martin is a Slovak women's ice hockey club from the Slovak Martin , which was founded in 1991 under the name HK Medokýš Turčianske Teplice in Turčianske Teplice . In 1998 the women's ice hockey department moved to Martin. In the 2000s, however, a women's team was founded again in Turčianske Teplice, which initially served as the B-team of the MHK Martin. In 2010 this also rose to the first division.

The MHK Martin is ten-time champion of Slovakia and thus the most successful club in the history of Slovak women's ice hockey. In the 2010/11 season, the MHK Martin took part in the international Elite Women's Hockey League for the first time, reached fourth place in the main round and thus moved into the final tournament.
