The team was created from the two counter teams BSC Heide and the Trümmertruppe .

The Bohnental came to beach soccer through player Adrian Harasimiuc, who helped organize the first beach soccer tournaments in Saarland from an early age. With the construction of the multifunctional Beach Platz in 2009, SV Schänen expanded its popular sports division, making it a permanent location for the official Saarland Championships of the German Beach Soccer Association. The freely accessible beach area is used by teams from all over Saarland and should also enable other sports such as beach volleyball and beach handball in the future.
