The MSV Jäger 7 Bückeburg was a sports club from Bückeburg in the Schaumburg district . The first soccer team played a year in the Lower Saxony Gauliga .

history

As part of the reintroduction of conscription in 1935, the Bückeburg military sports club was founded. Since the 7th Jäger Battalion was stationed in Bückeburg , the team was popularly known as "Jäger 7" or "Bückeburger Jäger". In the very first season, the hunters reached the promotion round to the Lower Saxony Gauliga, but where the team failed at 1. SC Göttingen 05 . Two years later, the rise succeeded when the Bückeburger remained in the promotion round against Sparta Nordhorn and Göttingen 05 without losing points. In the same year, the team made headlines in the German Reich with a 4-2 friendly win over FC Schalke 04 .

Reinforced by the former national player Heinz Ditgens , the Bückeburger caused a sensation in the Gauliga and defeated Eintracht Braunschweig 2-1 and Werder Bremen 6-2. With the beginning of the Second World War , the team was withdrawn from the game.
