MX Linux is a terms of resource consumption medium-weight Linux - operating system , which on the distribution / version Debian / stable (stable ') is based and central antiX used components. Additional software is created and / or packaged by the MX community. It was developed as a cooperation project between antiX and the former MEPIS communities. To do this, they use the best tools and talent from each of these distributions. The stated goal of the Community is to "combine an elegant and efficient desktop and ease of use, high stability, solid performance and medium size." MX Linux uses the Xfce - Desktop Environment , while KDE and other environments can be added or "Spin-off" ISO images are available.
Boat possibility
The MX Linux operating system can be booted from a USB stick and is therefore also suitable for parallel use.
Public perception
As of August 2020, MX Linux has been the most frequently clicked and therefore most popular distribution at Distrowatch for at least twelve months. MX Linux was tested or reported on LinuxCommunity , Chip , Computer Bild , Dedoimedo and others.
