Minus (label)

Minus , also known as m_nus , is a label in the electronic music scene. At Groove Magazine Reader's Poll 2005 and 2006 m_nus was chosen as the best label (international) .

It was founded in Detroit (USA) in 1998 by Richie Hawtin . The label's collective consists of artists such as Marc Houle and Magda and is an example of a style that is known as minimal techno . Richie Hawtin allegedly justified his move to Berlin in 2004 with the growing closeness of US society after September 11th.

In 2008 the label celebrates its tenth birthday. The number of publications is over 300.
