Álvaro "Mabi" de Almeida (born October 12, 1963 in Benguela , † June 6, 2010 in Huambo ) was an Angolan football coach . He studied sports education in Zwickau.

Career

Mabi de Almeida became the coach of the Angolan national football team in November 2008 after having previously worked as an assistant coach for two years. In April 2009, the Angolan Association announced that it was looking for a new coach. So de Almeida was released shortly afterwards. Until his death in June 2010, he was a coach at the Angolan club Caála .
