The MacDonald nunatakker are two nunatakkers on the Amundsen coast of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . They rise east of the confluence of the Amundsen Glacier in the Ross Ice Shelf and 8 km west of O'Brien Peak in the Transantarctic Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped them using their own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1967 after John A. MacDonald, biologist at McMurdo Station in the Antarctic winter of 1964.
